With over 20 years of experience as a Special Education teacher and Transition Specialist, Katie has dedicated her career to helping students with disabilities reach their fullest potential.
After decades in public education, she founded EmpowerED SPED Consulting to support families directly - offering clarity, compassion, and practical guidance in navigating the complexities of special education and transition planning.
Katie has worked with children and young adults with autism, cerebral palsy, Rett syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and multiple exceptionalities. Her approach blends professional expertise with heart-felt understanding, empowering parents to feel informed, confident, and supported every step of the way.
